High School -- Under Armour all-America nominee at Sublette High School... four-time Hi Plains League, two-time Hutchinson News 2A First Team, two-time team Most Valuable Player and two-time Garden City Telegram all-Area First Team selection... also earned Kansas Volleyball Association Class 2A First Team all-State honors as a senior and second team all-state honors as a junior... selected to play in the Kansas Volleyball Association All-Star Match... received the KVA Joan Lundstrom Wells Award of Excellence... led SHS to conference championship and a fourth place finish at the Kansas Class 2A State Tournament with a 35-11 overall record as a senior... was named to the State all-Tournament team... finished her senior campaign with a school record 638 kills and a .482 hitting percentage to go along with 244 digs, 41 blocks and a school record 138 aces... the 638 kills and 138 aces were the top figures in the state of Kansas in 2008... holds the SHS records for single match kills (38) and aces (15) and single set kills (13) and aces (15)... holds the school's career records in kills (1,742), aces (409) and digs (699)... also played club volleyball on the U.S.A. National High Performance A3 team in 2008... also a standout track and field athlete, as she is a three-time Class 2A high jump champion... also was a member of two state champion 4x100-meter relay teams and she holds the Sublette records in the high jump and 4x100 and 4x400-relays.
Personal -- Born on May 24, 1991 in Garden City, Kan... daughter of Jerry and Brenda Lucas... has three older siblings, Anthony, Andrea and Andrew... uncle, Gary Lucas, played collegiate golf at Wichita State... majoring in business/accounting.
