Kansas City Shuts Down #4 South Dakota, Advances to Semifinals
VERMILLION, S.D. - Fourth-seeded Kansas City Women's Soccer (9-7-3) withstood a late storm from #5 South Dakota in this afternoon's Summit League Quarterfinal match, taking down the Coyotes 1-0 and advancing to the semifinal round. The Roos were led by a 16th minute goal from Olivia Platt and three second half saves from Anika Patton, moving to the final site of the conference championship and setting up a meeting with top-seeded Oral Roberts.
Kansas City Women's Soccer took down fourth-seeded South Dakota, 1-0 on Nov. 2, 2025. The Roos used a 16th minute goal from Olivia Platt and a clean sheet from Anika Patton to move on to the Summit League Semifinals for the first time in program history.
