Roos Pick Up a Pair of Wins at the Doc Halverson Classic

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - Kansas City Softball (2-3) came away from opening weekend with a pair of wins, defeating Butler on opening day, 7-2, and mounting a comeback over Northern Iowa this afternoon, 6-5. Both teams that the Roos defeated finished in the top halves of their conferences last season: Butler took fifth place in the Big East and Northern Iowa took third in the Missouri Valley. Along with the wins, KC dropped a game each to Butler, Northern Iowa and Iowa State.

Robles, Parker Earn Summit League Player to Watch Designations

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Kansas City Softball was picked to finish seventh in the Summit League Preseason Poll, as announced by the league office ahead of the 2026 campaign. The Roos earned their spot in the poll following a vote by the league's head coaches. Kansas City also landed two Players to Watch, with Delilah Robles selected as Pitcher to Watch and Lauren Parker named a Player to Watch.

Roos Rally, Fall to Coyotes Late in Summit League Opening Round

BROOKINGS, S.D. - Down five runs in the sixth inning, #6 Kansas City Softball (5-43) had every opportunity to roll over in its Summit League Championship opening round match up against third-seeded South Dakota (29-22), but the Roos did not give up. They staged a five-run rally in the top of the sixth inning to tie the game up, the team's second-highest scoring single inning all season long. However, two South Dakota runs in the bottom of the sixth would keep KC at bay and end the Roos' season, 8-6.
