KC Men's T&F saw 10 athletes grab spots, the most in program history since 2013
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Kansas City Track & Field saw a dozen athletes be named to the annual Summit League Outdoor All-League Team, the conference announced this afternoon. On the men's side, 10 Roos were recognized for their outstanding efforts at the Summit League Outdoor Championships in Fargo this past weekend, the most in program history since 2013. The men finished fourth as a team, posting 83 points and earning their highest placement at a Summit outdoor meet since 2013. The women were well represented too, getting multiple All-League bids for the second time in the last three outdoor seasons. As a unit, the women's side collected 28 points and came in sixth in the team standings.Â
The men's list includes the likes of Brendan Badie (400mH), Stephen Brown (4x100), Stephen Clunis (100, 4x100), Amari Eugene (200, 4x100), MJ Foster (1,500), Tory Lanham (200, 4x400, 4x100), Sommyr Moore (4x400), Logan Pratt (4x400), Najee Simpson (4x400) and Jared Wipf (100). Eight Roos on that list have notched 'All-League' status before while Badie, Brown, Foster and Moore all made it for the first time in their careers. Lanham leads the Roos in All-League bids with five in his career, having been named to the team every season since the 2024 outdoor campaign.Â
Both Jacky Perez-Vela (400) and Naomi Eyanagho (Shot Put) earned All-League honors for placing top three in an event. Perez-Vela becomes the only female current female athlete on the team to hold two-time Summit All-League status. Eyanagho gets her first career All-League bid in the shot put after coming close at the indoor meet this year.Â
