Petty Goes for 18 on Senior Night Against Oral Roberts
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Men's Basketball (4-26, 1-15 Summit) dropped the final game of the regular season to Oral Roberts this evening, 94-70. The Roos honored seniors Addarin Scott, Jerome Palm, Kasheem Grady II and Jayson Petty prior to the game and Petty followed the ceremony up with 18 points on 4-of-7 three-point shooting. Karmello Branch went for a team-high 22 points, adding a career-high five assists.

In the second to last home game of the season, the Kansas City Roos faced up against the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. Starting strong in the first half the Roos kept up a good momentum, putting pressure on the Jackrabbits. Despite this pressure, the Roos would ultimately fall to the Jackrabbits with a final score of 73-59. The Roos will recognize the senior players this Saturday during the last home game of the season against Oral Roberts Golden Eagles.

Evans Goes for 20 in Loss to South Dakota State

KANSAS CITY, Mo - Kansas City Men's Basketball (4-25, 1-14 Summit) dropped a game to South Dakota State (14-16, 7-8 Summit) on Thursday night at the Swinney Center, 73-59. As a team, the Roos shot 35.1% from the field and 35.7% from beyond the arc. CJ Evans led the Roos with his third 20-point performance of the season. The Jackrabbits shot 46.6% from the field and an efficient 42.1% from deep. The leading scorer for SDSU was guard Joe Sayler who recorded 22 points and shot 50% from beyond the arc.
