KANSAS CITY (Mar. 6, 2026) – Kansas City Women's Basketball will start a new chapter in the program's soon-to -be 40-year history, as announced today by Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics Dr. Brandon Martin. The Dionnah Jackson-Durrett era comes to a close following her fourth year at the helm in 2025-26.

Roos’ Season Ends at Hands of Jackrabbits in Summit Quarterfinals

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Kansas City Women's Basketball (7-23, 4-12) saw the 2025-26 season come to an end in the Summit Championship Quarterfinals, falling to second-seeded South Dakota State (25-6, 14-2), 75-61 on Thursday afternoon. Three Roos cracked double figures in scoring with the Bennett twins leading the way, each pouring in 15 points.

Roos' Season Comes to a Close against #8 Oral Roberts
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The 2025-26 campaign came to a close for #9 Kansas City (4-27, 1-15 Summit) this evening against eighth-seeded Oral Roberts (10-22, 4-12 Summit), 84-62. The Roos were led by third-year Roo Jayson Petty in the scoring column, going for 14 points on the night.
