Roos Hire KC Native Brandon Burgette as Assistant Coach
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Mar. 19, 2026) - Head Coach Mark Turgeon continues to build his staff, tapping into the Kansas City connection that he has preached about since taking the job in February for his second assisting coaching hire. A metro native and veteran of the Kansas City coaching scene, Brandon Burgette will man the Roos' sidelines heading into the 2026-27 season.
The Kansas City Roos softball team dominated the Western Illinois Leathernecks with an 8–0 shutout victory, during their second home game of the season. The Roos set the tone early and never let up, controlling the game from the first pitch to the final out. Strong performances in the circle and at the plate fueled the win, giving the Roos a statement victory at home. The team will look to carry this momentum into their next matchup.
