Lanham Designated Kwik Star Summit Peak Performer Following 400M School Record

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- In consecutive weeks to open the 2025-26 indoor campaign, Kansas City Track & Field has won the Kwik Star Summit League Men's Track Peak Performer of the Week award, with 400-meter dash program record holder Tory Lanham taking the conference honor this time around. Last week, it was KC's Stephen Clunis who brought home the weekly reward for his efforts, boasting an NCAA-best 6.61 time in the 60-meter dash at the Crimson & Gold Invitational. This week, it's the outdoor All-American's turn to get on the board with a Peak Performer honor of his own.

Clunis Runs NCAA Leading, Program Record Time in 60-Meter Dash

PITTSBURG, Kan. -- Kansas City Track & Field opened up the 2025-26 indoor season with a strong team performance at the Crimson & Gold Invitational at Pittsburg State this weekend. The Roos saw four athletes set new program records, three of which came in the sprinting races and one in the field events. The meet started off on the right foot with Stephen Clunis running an NCAA-best 60-meter dash time of 6.61 seconds, shattering the old school record he set last season of 6.65 at the Tyson Invitational. Clunis' now not only holds the best time in the Summit League but also the top men's 60m time in the country a week into the indoor season.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Kansas City Men's Track and Field's Tory Lanham has yet another honor to add to his prolific 2024-25 season, bringing in the Summit League's Men's Track Athlete of the Year honors. This comes in addition to his Second Team All-American status, Summit League May/June Male Athlete of the Month, Summit League Most Outstanding Performer of the Championship, First Team All-League and four Kwik Star Peak Performer of the Week honors.
