The 2025 Summit Men's Track Athlete of the Year picked up his 11th career weekly honor
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- For the third time this outdoor season, Kansas City's Tory Lanham has been named the Summit League Men's Track Peak Performer of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. The junior's fourth career outdoor weekly award and 11th overall of his career comes off the back of another remarkable sprinting performance, this time at the Arkansas Twilight where Lanham ran a second-place time of 20.50 seconds in the 200-meter dash.Â
Lanham came close to re-setting the Kansas City outdoor 200m record which he broke back in April when he ran a time of 20.47 seconds at the Arkansas Spring Invitational. At 20.50 seconds, Lanham's 'Peak Performer' worthy outing would have been good for the 30th best time in the country and tied for 15th best in the NCAA West Region. In addition to being atop of the Summit 200m leaderboard, Lanham now enters rarefied air in Summit League history.
With this being Lanham's third Peak Performer of the Week award of the 2026 outdoor season, he joins a group of just four other male athletes in conference history who have accomplished the three in a single season feat. Lanham is also the first to do so on the men's side in the Summit since USD's Zack Anderson in 2021. Additionally, Lanham's career 'Peak Performer' total of four in outdoors makes him one of 12 men's athletes in league history to rack up that many or more.Â
