Elie Kisoka scored yet another game-winner as KC claimed its ninth win of the year
KANSAS CITY - Kansas City Men's Soccer (9-3-3, 4-1-1 Summit) got a bounce-back win this evening, taking a 3-2 victory over Omaha (6-6-3, 1-4-1 Summit) at Durwood Soccer Stadium. Kansas City fell behind early, but goals from Julien Le Bourdoulous and Gabriele Galluccio allowed the Roos to take a lead in the first half. An unfortunate hand ball in the box allowed the Mavericks to draw even at the break, but Elie Kisoka came through in the 70th minute with the game-winning goal.
KEY MOMENTS | HIGHLIGHTS
- 17' / 0-0 | A Maverick entry ball brought Brandon McGaugh off his line, but Bryson Gosch and Fernando Somolinos Bravo recovered well and forced Omaha to cycle back to midfield without a shot attempt.
- 22' / 0-1 | Omaha's Mikey Stukenholtz found space on the right side in the counter attack and sent a cross to Italo Jenkins to put the Mavericks ahead.
- 33' / 1-1 | Mathias Baucher drew a foul just outside of the Omaha box, setting up Le Bourdoulous to take the kick. He curled the ball around the wall, tucking his shot into the upper corner for an equalizing goal.
