Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City aims to maintain its high level of play on Wednesday evening as the Roos travel to Tulsa for a meeting with Oral Roberts. KC will be playing with the No. 22 TopDrawerSoccer ranking next to its name, the first national ranking of the Ryan Pore era.
- The Roos took down then-No. 3 Denver on Saturday, Kansas City's first nationally-ranked win since the 2008 season. In program history, the Roos hold a 3-3-0 record in the match following a win over a Top-25 team.
- Elie Kisoka and Brandon McGaugh swept the Summit's Peak Performer of the Week honors, becoming the first KC duo to win the awards in the same week since 2020. KC has swept the conference offensive and defensive weekly awards just five other times in program history.
- Kisoka's goal against the Pioneers was his fourth game-winning goal of the season. That mark is tied for the most by a Roo in a single-season reaching back to at least 1997. Three other KC players have reached four game-winners: Jimmy Simon (2010), Larry Scheller (2001) and Mark Roennigke (1999). Additionally, his four game-winners are tied for the most in the NCAA.
- McGaugh has logged four shutouts this season, all coming in victorious efforts for the Roos. Across the last four games, he has allowed just one goal and has made 12 saves.
- Bryson Gosch became KC's first outfield player to surpass 1,000 minutes in the win over DU. The RS Sophomore has played the full 90 in 8-of-12 games for KC.
Oral Roberts NotesÂ
- Oral Roberts enters Wednesday's meeting with a 5-3-3 mark and currently sits tied for second in the Summit League standings.
- The Golden Eagles defeated St. Thomas, 2-0 on Saturday behind goals from Colin Spuler and Omar Mora.
- Mora leads the ORU offense with eight goals, tied with Kisoka for the league-lead.
- These teams have a long history, dating back to 1988. Since 2019, Oral Roberts holds a 5-1-1 advantage.
