The Roos finished below 30% from the field for the first time this year
ST. PAUL, Minn. - Poor shooting set Kansas City Men's Basketball (11-16, 7-7 Summit) behind from the jump against St. Thomas (17-11, 8-7 Summit) this evening, falling 73-43. The Roos were ice cold from the field, shooting 14-of-51 from the field for a 27.5% clip.
The Tommies scored the first 10 points of the night and never looked back, leading by double-digits for the final 32 minutes of the game. It looked like the Roos might have some life early in the second half, but a four-minute scoring drought sunk their chances.
RayQuawndis Mitchell was the only Roo to finish in double-digit scoring, dropping 11 points. He also led KC's rebounding efforts with six boards.
KEY MOMENTS
- 1H - 16:23 / 5-12 | The Tommies jumped out with a 10-point scoring run to start the game. Buckets on back-to-back possessions by Mitchell and Shemarri Allen put the Roos on the board.
