Men's Basketball Signs Carl Daughtery Jr.

Daughtery previously spent time at both UC Davis and Central Arkansas
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Men's Basketball and Head Coach Mark Turgeon have officially announced the signing of Carl Daughtery Jr. The 6'3 guard brings high-level shooting and Division I experience to the Roos' roster, previously spending time at both UC Davis and Central Arkansas.
"I am excited for the opportunity to play at Kansas City under Coach Turgeon and I'm looking forward to playing under his leadership and guidance," Daughtery said.
Daughtery helped lead UC Davis to a 19-14 overall record in 2025-26, starting in nine of his 24 appearances and playing 26.5 minutes per game. He averaged 10.0 points per contest while shooting over 40% from the field and from three-point range, scoring in double-digits in 11 games. He led the Aggies to a win over UC Santa Barbara in the first round of the Big West Championship, scoring a season-high 24 points on 9-of-15 shooting and pulling down eight rebounds.
Playing largely as a reserve in 2024-25, Daughtery made appearances in 32 games with one start. He scored 10-plus points in six games, averaging 5.0 points per game on the year.Â
Daughtery spent the first two seasons of his collegiate career at Central Arkansas, making 52 appearances and starting in 10 games during his sophomore campaign. He averaged 7.2 points per game across the two seasons, going for 9.9 points per game in 2023-24.
Originally from Maumelle, Ark., he played high school ball at Maumelle HS, scoring over 1,000 career points and earning all-state and all-conference honors.
Daughtery was born in Little Rock, Ark. on Oct. 23, 2003 to parents Carl Sr. and Cynthia Daughtery. His father, Carl Sr., played basketball at Paul Quinn College. He has one sibling, GeCara.
