Kansas City was dominant in the block, finishing with 12 to the RedHawks' eight
PEORIA, Ill. - A new-look Kansas City Volleyball squad started the season in the win column, taking a five-set victory over Miami (OH) to kick off the Bradley Invitational. Returners Odyssey Warren and Raina Smith led the Kansas City attack with 14 and 11 kills, respectively, but three newcomers had at least five kills.

- Kansas City finished with 12 blocks on the day, which is just one below their season-high of 13 blocks last year.
