Volleyball Announces 2026 Signing Class

The Roos add seven new players
KANSAS CITY, MO - Kansas City Volleyball will welcome seven newcomers for the 2026 season, adding four freshmen and three transfers to the Roos' roster. The class includes three international players and four domestic signees representing Colorado, Minnesota, Nevada and Utah. The group features three middle blockers along with a right side, outside hitter, setter and libero/defensive specialist.
Madelyn Bahnsen joins the Roos as a 5-foot-11 right side from Windsor, Colo. A graduate of Windsor HS, Bahnsen earned first-team all-conference honors twice, first-team all-state recognition as a senior and served as a team captain. She helped Windsor finish as a two-time state runner-up and was named academic all-state in each of her four years before graduating summa cum laude. At the club level, Bahnsen played for Norco Volleyball Club, winning a USAV national championship and earning 16s National Championships MVP honors.
"I chose to come to Kansas City because of the amazing coaching staff and the team culture," Bahnsen said. "I was confident that Kansas City would give me the opportunity to grow as both a student and an athlete."
Dani Brey comes to Kansas City following two seasons at Tyler Junior College. The 5-foot-6 libero and defensive specialist from Bountiful, Utah, earned Second Team All-Region XIV and All-Region XIV Tournament Team honors during the 2025 season. Brey attended Woods Cross HS, where she also competed in lacrosse and was a four-time first-team all-region selection. She played club volleyball with Club V.
"I chose UMKC because the coaching staff creates a positive, supportive environment while pushing athletes to reach their full potential," Brey said. "The team's culture of hard work and accountability makes it a place where I believe I can grow as a player, student and teammate."
Gizem Eroglu begins her collegiate career with the Roos after attending Gelisim College in Izmir, Turkey. The 6-foot middle blocker played under Yasin Gökgöz and helped her team finish third in the Izmir Second League. Eroglu also participated in her school's science club and worked with the LÖSEV charity organization.
"Everyone on the staff was so kind and welcoming to me," Eroglu said. "On top of that, I realized that UMKC's program was a perfect fit for me. I truly could not imagine myself anywhere else besides this team and this school."
A 6-foot outside hitter from Izmir, Turkey, Ipek Kusoglu joins Kansas City following two seasons at Midland College. Kusoglu helped the Lady Chaparrals finish 14-13 in 2025 and qualify for the NJCAA Region V Tournament for the first time in three years. She ranked second on the team with 2.64 kills per set and added 1.36 digs per set. Kusoglu attended Gelisim Koleji prior to beginning her collegiate career.
"I chose Kansas City because I loved the coaches, the volleyball program and the campus," Kusoglu said.
Savy Repinski comes to Kansas City as a 5-foot-10 setter from Winona, Minn. A four-year captain at Cotter HS, Repinski was a four-time all-conference selection, four-time team MVP and member of the 2025 Minnesota All-State Team. She holds Cotter's career record with 2,891 assists and averaged 9.4 assists and 3.0 digs per set. Repinski was also named to Breakdown Sports' Elite 35 Underclassmen, Top 75 Juniors and Top 100 Seniors lists during her prep career. She played club volleyball for Madtown Volleyball Club and was a three-time AVCA Phenom selection.
"I chose to play at Kansas City for the coaching, the welcoming team, the area itself and the many resources UMKC offers," Repinski said.
Hannah Wayment joins the Roos as a 6-foot-1 middle blocker from Henderson, Nev. Wayment attended Coronado HS, earning first-team all-conference and first-team all-state honors while serving as a varsity captain. She helped Coronado earn three state runner-up finishes and graduated as her class valedictorian. Wayment also played club volleyball with Vegas Aces Volleyball.
"I chose to play at Kansas City because I loved the atmosphere and culture they have created," Wayment said. "I was excited for the opportunity to play under Coach Posey and with an amazing group of girls who want to compete every day."
Mila Zoric transfers to Kansas City following a freshman season at Columbia College. The 6-foot-1 middle blocker from Belgrade, Serbia, appeared in 25 matches for the Cougars, finishing with 114 kills on a .263 hitting percentage, 86 total blocks and 22 digs. Zoric earned honorable mention all-conference recognition and was selected to the American Midwest Conference All-Tournament Team. Before coming to the United States, she competed with Vizura, Red Star and Crno-bele 011.
