Went for eight kills, season-high five blocks, three digs and two service aces in win over Miami (OH) on Aug. 26 ... Tallied nine kills and season-high eight digs at Bradley on Aug. 27 ... High School: Sturdevant won a pair of state titles for head coach Brandy Tanner in 2016 and 2017, earning All-State honors during her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. She was also a three-time all-district performer and surpassed 1,000 career kills. Sturdevant is a three-time Academic All-State honoree, was named Academic All-Conference and has been named to the Principals A Honor Roll four times.
Why Kansas City?: "I wanted to be closer to home and UMKC has one of the best pharmacy programs in the country. I was nervous to be joining the volleyball team because I didn't know anyone, but the team and staff have been so welcoming; I know it'll feel like home."
