
Kansas City Drops Both in Home Opener

The Roos travel to Stillwater for OSU Mizuno Classic this weekend
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City Softball (4-16) dropped both games in their home opener against Southeast Missouri State (12-10) and Iowa (13-8). Lexy Smith was the only Roo to get a hit in both games of the triangle.

Kansas City travels to Stillwater, Okla. for the OSU Mizuno Invite where the Roos will play a duo of games against No. 11 Oklahoma State and RV Wichita State. First pitch is scheduled for noon against Wichita State on Friday.

- Top 1 / 0-2 | The Redhawks started hot with a two-run homerun to grab the lead.
- Bottom 2 / 1-2 | Kloe Hilbrenner broke into this Roos' hit column with KC's first hit and RBI of the day, scoring Ashley Thorne.
- Top 3 / 1-4 | A high-flying pop-up that dropped between the second baseman and right fielder gave SEMO two more runs.
