THE ROOS, QUOTEDÂ
- Coach Christi Posey
- "Our kids are playing a little more freely and are playing with a lot more confidence, which is allowing them to play more together. Our defensive intensity has allowed us to save matches, which has been a theme all year and our offense has picked up the past few matches."
- "Our serve pressure and defensive intensity allowed us to excel today from a transition standpoint."
- "This particular (senior class) has been really prolific in terms of winning, and we keep knocking down the door, so my hope is that we can keep this train rolling."
- De'Janae Arnold
- "It's a bittersweet moment. We showed all of our hard work, everything that we've grinded to do. To see it all play out is really a grateful and humbling moment."
- Melanie Brecka
- "These last two wins have proven, not only to ourselves but to others that we're not to be messed around with. We're a force to be reckoned with, so that's a great feeling going into the tournament."
- Maddie Renn
- "We learned some tough lessons in the middle of the season, and although in the moment they were really hard and we didn't know where to go, we turned it around in practice. We decided that if we're going to go out, we're going to go our swinging."
- Alli Schomers
- "The coaching staff had a lot of foresight with this group. Being a year older, I was on a recruiting mission for (the other three seniors). I give the coaches a huge shout-out for hand-picking this group and I wouldn't want to do it with anyone else."
