THE ROOS, QUOTED
- Jacie Hoyt
- "Our press was really effective. I don't know any team in the country that would want to see Brooklyn guarding the ball. Our kids did a really great job, we took that momentum and turned it into offense."
- "We came up with some really key rebounds that limited their second chance points, which was another thing to be really proud of."
- "We've been focused this week on going undefeated and protecting our home floor. We know (Grand Canyon) is going to be tough and they're going to want to play that up-tempo style just like us. We're really excited about it, I think it's going to be a fun game. I trust that our fans will come, we've had this week circled for a long time as an opportunity to set the tone for our season."
- Brooklyn McDavid
- "I was definitely in the zone. Jacie mentions in practice a lot that it's a game of runs, so I'm not going to let them score on me if they're running."
