- Kansas City looks to improve to 3-1 on the young season as they host two local schools, Rockhurst and William Jewell on Sunday and Wednesday, respectively.
- The Roos will take on Rockhurst for the second time in as many seasons and then will play William Jewell for the first time in the Jacie Hoyt-era
- Paige Bradford has stood out for the Roos in the first two games of the year. The junior college transfer posted 15 points and 13 rebounds against NWMSU, her first double-double as a Roo.
- Junior Emily Ivory has knocked down at least three three-pointers in both games to open the season. Reaching back to last season, that streak stands at three-straight games. She is just one triple away from tying Veda McNeal for the fourth-most three pointers made in a Roos' uniform (174).
- Coach Hoyt will enter the contest against Rockhurst searching for her 50th career win as the Kansas City head coach.

- After a slow start, Kansas City outscored the Bearcats 20-8 in the second quarter and coasted to a win.

- Rockhurst has the ability to roll out a balanced scoring attack. Three Hawks are averaging double-digits on the year.
- Rockhurst is led in the scoring attack by Daly Sullivan, averaging over 14 ppg. Her sister, Keegan, is the third leading scorer. She averages nearly 12 per game. The sisters are also the team leaders in steals.
