
UMKC Falls at CSU Bakersfield, 3-0

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – UMKC volleyball had a four-game winning streak snapped at CSU Bakersfield on Saturday, falling to the Runners 3-0.
The Roos (14-11, 7-5 WAC) fell in set one 26-24, with senior Madison Mosier (Lee's Summit, Mo.) tallying five kills for the team-lead. Senior Kaylyn Brandt (Sumner, Iowa) notched 11 assists in the set and five digs.
CSU Bakersfield (12-13, 9-3 WAC) took set two 25-16, holding the Roos to .062 hitting in the set. The Runners finished off the sweep with a 25-18 win in the third, with UMKC hitting .139 as a team.
Mosier, Emma Hagedorn (Parkville, Mo.), and Devan Porter (Bettendorf, Iowa) led UMKC with eight kills each. Brandt finished the match with 24 assists and 12 digs, while Porter notched 10 digs. Senior Brianna Starr (Blue Springs, Mo.) led the team with 17 digs.
UMKC returns home to finish the regular season with two home matches, starting with UT Rio Grande Valley on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. CT. The Roos will conclude the regular season with senior day on Nov. 12, facing New Mexico State at 1 p.m. CT.
