
Roos Embark on Final Regular Season Road Trip

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UMKC volleyball is set to face Grand Canyon and CSU Bakersfield in the final regular season road trip of 2016. The Roos will play the Lopes on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 8 p.m. CT, and face the Runners on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 3 p.m. CT.

The match against Grand Canyon will be streamed through GCU's YouTube page, and will have live stats at UMKCStats.com. There will not be a live stream for Saturday's match against CSUB, but live stats will be available at GoRunners.com.
About the Roos
UMKC (13-10, 6-4 WAC) currently sits in fourth-place in the Western Athletic Conference standings. The Roos are led offensively by seniors Emma Hagedorn (Parkville, Mo.) and Madison Mosier (Lee's Summit, Mo.). Hagedorn leads the WAC with a .450 hitting percentage, and Mosier ranks second with a .335 hitting efficiency. Senior setter Kaylyn Brandt (Sumner, Iowa) leads the conference with 11.07 assists per set, totaling 919 on the season.
About the Lopes
Grand Canyon (4-18, 0-10 WAC) is led offensively by Katrice Pond. Pond averages 3.17 kills per set, with a total of 165 on the season. Defensively Emma Ahern has notched 159 digs to lead the Lopes, and Hannah Hicks has amassed 66 total blocks for the team lead.
About the Runners
CSU Bakersfield (10-13, 7-3 WAC) is led by Carol Grasso, who has 289 kills this season, averaging 3.85 per set. With 296 digs, Jocelyn Rodriguez leads the Runners defensively, with help from Katie Dunbar-Lowe, who has tabbed 62 total blocks.

UMKC will conclude the regular season with two home matches at Swinney Recreation Center. The Roos will face UT Rio Grande Valley on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. CT before welcoming New Mexico State on Saturday, Nov. 12 for senior day.
