Bio
2023 (Freshman): Sutton made 10 appearances for the Roos in her first season, including three starts… Throughout the season, Sutton saw 12 at-bats and earned two runs… On March 3 she earned a career-high two putouts in the matchup against Lamar…Sutton earned the first run of her career on March 11, against Northern Colorado… During the March 11, matchup against Northern Colorado Sutton put up a career-high four assists on four catches to earn herself a perfect fielding percentage… In the Roos, 10-4 victory over Western Illinois on April 23, Sutton started in her third game and documented her second run of the season
High School: Finished high school with a .562 batting average, .810 slugging percentage, and a .914 fielding percentage… Received All-Conference, All-Area, All-District, All-Region, and All-State accolades during her tenure at Truman High School… Also qualified for sectionals in track & field competing in pole vaulting … Earned Academic All-State sophomore year
Personal: Born Sept. 30, 2003 in Overland Park, Kansas … Intends to major in Biology/Pre-Dentistry … Parents Kristen and Tim Sutton … Has two older sisters, Keely and Cheyenne… Played club ball for the KC Zephyrs
Why Kansas City?: "I chose the Roos to further my collegiate career because I love where I'm from and Kansas City is a great city. I also want to become a dentist and there is a great dental program here. I love playing softball and Coach Shaw and his staff have a great program. It was a win, win for me to choose Kansas City Softball."
