2023 (Senior): Summit League Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence… Summit League Academic Honor Roll… Made 50 starts and appeared in all 52 games… During conference play tied for seventh in the conference for home runs, earning two… Ranked fifth in the conference for walks with five during conference play… 32 assists during conference play ranked her tenth in the League for assists… In her 132 at-bats, she earned 30 hits, including six doubles, three triples and two home runs. Karnatz ranked first on the team in triples and tied for second on the team in home runs… Throughout the season, she batted in 13 runs… Karnatz ranked second on the team in assists with 86 and third in putouts with 91… She notched a .937 fielding percentage… On March 5, she notched a career-high six putouts in the 5-0 victory over Rider and earned one of the Roos’ five runs… During the May 5, win against St. Thomas Karnatz put up a season-high two hits including a double and a home run. Her solo home run in the bottom of the third put the Roos up 2-1, ultimately clinching their 3-1 victory over St. Thomas

Returned to the starting lineup with minute restrictions on April 15 after being out with an injury the first half of the season … Started 10 games, recording first hit of the season against South Dakota State on April 16 as a stand-up double … Recorded three runs on the season, two coming against South Dakota on May 6 … Had a season-high four assists at the shortstop position against South Dakota as well
2021 (Sophomore): Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete ... Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence ... Summit League Academic Honor Roll ... Made 54 starts in 54 appearances ... Batted at a .280 clip ... Drove in 18 RBI ... Laid down seven sacrifice bunts on the year ... Fielded at a .945 clip ... Had 15 multi-hit games ... 2020 (Freshman): In a shortened season due to COVID-19 pandemic in which there were 19 games played, Karnatz started in all 19 contests at shortstop... Hit lead-off in 12 games... Finished the year batting .236 (13-for-55) with five runs scored and four RBIs... Was 3-for-4 in stolen base attempts... Tied for the team lead in doubles (4) and stolen bases (4)... Had an eight-game streak of reaching base safely, with was second longest on the team... Tied for the player season-high with three hits at Hawaii (2/21)... Ripped a pair of doubles at Southeast Missouri (3/1) also scoring twice and driving in two runs... Swiped two stolen bases against Stephen F. Austin (2/16)... Personal: Born Jan. 30, 2001 in Maywood, Ill... Parents are Dan and Tracy Karnatz... Her father was a collegiate swimmer at the University of Oklahoma... Has one sister, Amanda, and one brother, Danny... Her sister currently plays collegiate softball at Lawrence University (Wis.)... Intends to major in business management.
