Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City Men's Basketball looks to brave the cold weather on Saturday evening, hosting Omaha for a scheduled 7 p.m. tip off. Dating back to the start of the 2021-22 season, the Roos hold a 7-6 record in games played in the Swinney Center when the reported high temperature in Kansas City was less than 32ºF (temperature data gathered from weatherspark.com).
- The Roos are looking for a regular season sweep of the Mavericks after going 0-3 against Omaha last season. The last time Kansas City claimed a regular season sweep of a conference opponent came in 2023-24 when the Roos went 2-0 against South Dakota, Omaha, Denver and Oral Roberts.
- Kasheem Grady II has led Kansas City's scoring efforts in back-to-back games, just the third and fourth times that he has been the Roos' scoring leader in his two-year career. Grady averaged 17.5 points per game across two contests last week, shooting 8-of-14 from three-point range.
- After failing to log an assist for the first time this season at South Dakota, CJ Evans went for seven assists against South Dakota State, coming within one of his season high. Evans is averaging a team-best 4.1 assists per game this year, ranking third in the Summit and 156th nationally.
- Addarin Scott provided valuable minutes off the bench against South Dakota State, going for eight points and five rebounds. Across the last four games, Scott is averaging 13.5 minutes per game and is shooting 61.5% from the field.
Omaha NotesÂ

- A mid-season addition, Paul Djobet leads the Mavericks with a scoring average of 19.3 points per game. Lance Waddles has started all 21 games and averages 14.3 points per contest.
- As a team, Omaha ranks third in the Summit League and 95th in the nation with a three-point percentage of 35.6%.
- The all-time series between KC and Omaha is knotted at 10-10. The Roos own a 7-3 advantage in games played in Kansas City.
