Grady Leads Roos for Third-Straight Game; KC Falls to Omaha
1/24/2026 9:45:00 PM | Men's Basketball
Kasheem Grady II went for 15 points and a team-high three steals
KANSAS CITY - Kansas City Men's Basketball (4-17, 1-6 Summit) stayed competitive for much of the game but could not generate enough interior offense in a 77–60 loss to Omaha (10-12, 3-44 Summit) this evening. Kasheem Grady II led Kansas City for the third straight game with 15 points. Chris Dockery added 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting and led the Roos with seven rebounds.
The Roos moved the ball well early and traded buckets through a fluid first half, but Omaha's Tony Osburn provided the early separation with four first-half threes. Kansas City showed composure when the outside shots cooled, finding a few easier looks inside late in the half to cut the deficit to six. Defensively, the Roos stayed connected, but second-chance points and missed rebounding opportunities kept Omaha in control.
The second half swung on shot quality and paint production. Kansas City settled for more perimeter attempts and struggled at the line, while Omaha consistently got downhill and drew fouls. The Roos' pressure defense created some chances, but missed layups, turnovers, and tough offensive rebounds stalled any sustained comeback.
