Gianna Lickel paced the Roos with two hits on the day

ST. PAUL - Kansas City Softball (5-37, 1-14 Summit) fell in the series finale at St. Thomas (31-16, 12-3 Summit) this afternoon, 8-0. Gianna Lickel picked up two of Kansas City's three hits on the day from the lead off spot and Maddy Duvall pitched 3.1 innings of three-run ball in relief.

KEY MOMENTS

Top 3 / 0-5 | Lickel gave the Roos their first hit of the day with two outs in the third inning.
Bottom 5 / 0-5 | Duvall shoved for her third-straight scoreless inning, working around a bases loaded jam to get a pop up that ended the inning.
Top 6 / 0-5 | Lickel led off the sixth with her second hit of the day. Kansas City worked to get runners on first and second but could not do any further damage.

UMKC fought to keep momentum going into the second game as they looked to bounce back in front of the home crowd. The Roos ultimately fell in the nightcap as well, with the final score of game two ending at 9-0.
