Burks Tosses Gem; Roos Split with Bison

Hannah Burks pitched a complete game for her first collegiate win over NDSU
KANSAS CITY - Kansas City Softball (4-19, 1-1 Summit) picked up a big bounce-back win over North Dakota State (14-17, 1-1 Summit) this afternoon, splitting with the Bison in a league-opening doubleheader. NDSUÂ needed just six innings to take the first game, jumping out early for a 9-1 win. In game two, Hannah Burks stepped into the circle and tossed the best game of her collegiate career, going all seven innings and giving up just one earned run on five hits. Gianna Lickel, Sabrina Rogers and Katie Noble all notched multi-hit performances in the second game of the day with Noble logging a game-high two RBIs.
