
Three Point Frenzy Not Enough as Roos Fall Short at NDSU

Kansas City shot 14-of-40 from three-point range, coming within two attempts of a program record
FARGO, N.D. - Kansas City Men's Basketball (10-9, 2-2 Summit) dropped an intense battle at North Dakota State (14-6, 3-2 Summit) this evening, 71-64. The Roos used a three-point barrage to stay in the game, but were outlasted by the Bison's efficient offense.
After falling behind early, Kansas City used an 11-point run to take a one-point lead into the half, knocking down three three-pointers in the final two minutes. The second half resulted in both teams trading punches, but NDSU had the last laugh, ending the game on a 7-3 spurt.
Jayson Petty paced the Roos' offense with 19 points on 5-of-14 three-point shooting, followed by Jamar Brown with 16 on four three-point makes. Davontae Hall provided valuable minutes from the bench, finishing with 12 points and a game-high seven assists.
