Two late goals helped KC stay undefeated on the season
SAN FRANCISCO - Kansas City Men's Soccer used a pair of late-game miracles to find equalizing strength against San Francisco this evening, finding a 2-2 result. The Dons jumped out midway through the second half, scoring two quick goals and creating momentum. However, Kansas City was not quick to back down, first scoring a goal from the foot of Raphael Kistmann. Then, it was Elie Kisoka who came up big for the second game straight, scoring the equalizing goal in the 84th minute following a missed PK from the Dons.
KEY MOMENTS
- 4' / 0-0 | Following a Kansas City corner kick, USF had a countering opportunity and sent a shot towards the bottom right corner of the net. Brandon McGaugh shifted over calmly, making his first save of the night.
- 17' / 0-0 | Kansas City took its fourth corner kick of the night, as Julien Le Bourdoulous sent an out-swinger to the near post, finding the head of Miguel Fernandez. Fernandez attempted to send the ball across the goal, but it was just wayward and went above the crossbar.
- 42' / 0-0 | The Roos had one last attacking attempt before the half, playing the ball forward to a charging Brice Middleton. Middleton used his left foot to send a cross trickling across the front of the goal, but nobody was there to send a shot forward.
- 48' / 0-0 | San Francisco created an early attacking opportunity, resulting in an open shot attempt. McGaugh was positioned perfectly, blocking the ball away for another save.
- 58' / 0-0 | Sam Safly sent a free kick forward in an opportunity that presented similarly to Thursday's goal, but this time a launched shot by Sora Shibata could not find the target.
- 70' / 0-2 | San Francisco struck first midway through the second half, using a misplayed pass to pressure forward up the left side. A cross was played to the near post and USF's Isaiah Easley used a back-heel flick to find the back of the net. Just moments later, the Dons struck again, this time from the foot of Brayden Beason.
- 71' / 1-2 | Just moments later, Kansas City found the back of the net from the foot of Raphael Kistmann. He drove through the USF back line and slid to take a shot attempt, tucking the goal away into the upper left-hand corner.

- 84' / 2-2 | Elie Kisoka made himself the hero once again, this time scoring the equalizing goal. Kistmann played a ball to the top of the box, finding Ales Kohoutek. Kohoutek flicked a ball into the box, finding the head of Kisoka who sent the ball into net for the equalizer.
