The Gauchos struck first and put KC on its heels early

KANSAS CITY - Kansas City Men's Soccer (1-1-1) fell behind early and could not overcome the deficit, falling to No. 24 UC Santa Barbara, 3-0, in the Roos' home opener this evening. The chances were there for KC, but they could not capitalize, being shut out for the first time this season despite 21 shot attempts.

Julien Le Bourdoulous, Brevyn Cole and McGaugh were the only KC players to go the full 90 minutes. Kistmann, Sora Shibata and Fernando Somolinos Bravo all came on as substitutes but played more than 60 minutes.
