Starting Five
- Kansas City Men's Basketball looks to return to the win column on Saturday as it travels to Grand Forks, N.D. for a meeting with North Dakota. Having lost two-straight, the Roos look to avoid a three-game losing streak. Kansas City has not lost more than two games in-a-row since November, when the Roos went on a season-long five-game skid.
- Jamar Brown went for 21 points in Kansas City's most recent contest, an overtime loss to North Dakota State. It marked the fourth time that Brown has surpassed the 20-point mark this season, and the second time in Summit League play. Comparatively, the rest of the Kansas City squad has just two 20-point games combined. Thursday's game was the first time this season that the Roos lost a game in which a player scored more than 20 points.
- Kansas City allowed 82 points to the Bison on Thursday, a mark that has been a sign of struggle for KC. The Roos currently hold a 0-7 record when allowing more than 80 points. When holding teams below the 70-point mark, Kansas City's record improves to 8-2.
- The Roos started their 15th unique lineup of the season against the Bison, marking the return of Cameron Faas after a brief bout with illness. Jamar Brown is the lone player to start in all 25 games for the Roos thus far, and averages 34:23 of playing time per game to rank sixth in the Summit and 97th in the nation.
- Khristion Courseault has provided a spark off the bench for the Roos. He has not started a game since Jan. 3, but ranks top-10 in the Summit in assist:turnover and assists per game, and is averaging 9.6 points per game.
North Dakota Notes
- North Dakota currently stands alone atop the Summit League and are winners of seven-straight games.
- The Fighting Hawks' winning streak began on Jan. 13 with an 82-69 win over Kansas City in the Swinney Center.
- The Roos own a 7-5 advantage in the all-time series, but UND has won the past three meetings between the squads.
- North Dakota holds the best three-point defense in the Summit League, allowing opponents just 33.3% shooting from long range.
- B.J. Omot leads the Fighting Hawks offensively, averaging 17.5 points per game. He scored 30 in the Jan. 13 meeting.
