Kansas City Recognized for Summit League Academic Honors

The Roos named 133 student-athletes to the Academic Honor Roll and 97 to the Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Kansas City Athletics has achieved remarkable academic success during the 2022-23 school year with a total of 133 student-athletes being named to the Summit League Academic Honor Roll, an increase of 36 student-athletes as compared to the previous year's mark of 97. Further highlighting the department's dedication to academic excellence, the Roos had 97 student-athletes named to the Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence, also a significant increase over last year's total.
The success was widespread across all of Kansas City's teams during the 2022-23 academic year. Notably, the women's soccer program continued to excel for the second consecutive year, securing an impressive 24 honorees on the Academic Honor Roll and 19 on the Commissioner's List. Equally commendable, volleyball boasted an outstanding record with 15 out of 16 student-athletes making it to the honor roll list.
The academic accomplishments extended beyond individual achievements, as the entire Kansas City Athletics department recorded an impressive 3.36 cumulative GPA following the spring semester. This stellar performance led to the graduation of 43 student-athletes, further demonstrating the institution's commitment to fostering well-rounded individuals.
It is worth noting that academic excellence was prevalent across all 14 programs, as each team posted a remarkable 3.0 GPA or higher, with four teams registering a GPA above 3.5.
