
Kansas City Athletics Graduates 25 Student-Athletes

The Roos posted a departmental GPA of 3.37 in the spring semester
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Athletics graduated 25 student-athletes this spring while posting a departmental GPA of 3.37 in the Spring 2022 semester.
"Our student-athletes continue to epitomize the true essence of comprehensive excellence," Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics Dr. Brandon Martin said. "I applaud them for their commitment, dedication and pride in being academic champions."
All 14 of the Roos' teams posted above a 3.0 team GPA this spring, led by women's tennis with a 3.77 GPA. Volleyball, men's golf and women's soccer also posted above a 3.5 team GPA during the spring semester.
Kansas City Athletics posted a 3.35 cumulative GPA for the 2021-22 academic year with all 12 programs earning a 3.1 GPA or higher. Women's tennis took the annual gold with a 3.63 GPA while women's soccer and men's golf followed with a 3.59 and 3.58 GPA, respectively.

- Placed 31 student-athletes on the Dean's List.
- Had 26 student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 semester GPA.
- Women's basketball, men's soccer and women's soccer all had a department-high four perfect 4.0 GPAs apiece.
- Saw 122 student-athletes accomplish a Spring 2022 GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Increased the department's grade point average by .17 points from the fall to spring semester.
- The most improved team from the fall semester was men's cross country with a .43 grade point average increase.
- Women's soccer had a department-high 26 student-athletes achieve a 3.0 GPA or higher, as well as seven named to the Dean's List in the Spring 2022 semester.
- Women's teams posted a 3.42 GPA while the men's teams posted a 3.26 GPA during the full academic year.
