
Kansas City Travels to Brookings, SD for the Summit League Softball Championship

Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City will look to win its first game of the season over the Bison. The Bison swept the Roos on March 25 and 26 in Kansas City. Allowing Kansas City just two runs over the three-game span.
- Senior Ally Vonfeldt has been a force for Kansas City at bat. Vonfeldt has earned a .305 batting average this season and is the only Roo with a batting average above .300. She also leads the team in slugging percentage at .444, runs scored at 25 and hits at 46. First on the team in home runs and total bases, Vonfeldt has knocked out three home runs this season and earned 67 total bases.
- Last weekend, junior Camryn Stickel lead Kansas City in the circle, contributing to its loan win of the weekend. Stickel is first on the team with strikeouts with 59, 21 of which were thrown during conference play. In game two, she threw six strikeouts, one shy of her career-high, holding the Tommies to one run off of three hits.
- While the Bison defeated the Roos in a sweep, they dropped a game to Western Illinois on April 1. The Leathernecks went 3-15 in conference play putting them one behind the Roos and keeping them out of tournament play.
- The Bison come into the matchup hot, after winning the final game against Summit League No. 2 Omaha last weekend.
- Lainey Lyle and Paige Vargas lead North Dakota State in the circle. Lyle boasts a .65 ERA in conference play with ten appearances and 19 strikeouts. Vargas has a 2.80 ERA in 14 appearances, pitching 70 innings and throwing 79 strikeouts.
