Kansas City Softball Game Suspended Due to Weather

The Roos and Bison will resume their matchup tomorrow at 10:30 a.m.
BROOKINGS, S.D. – The Matchup between Kansas City and North Dakota State has been suspended due to weather in the area. Following the end of the fourth inning a weather delay was issued with Kansas City trailing 0-2. Once the weather passed, the teams resumed play, completing the top of the fifth inning.
The Roos saw one of their best scoring chances in the top of the fifth, sparked by Lexy Smith's second hit of the day, but were not able to convert. Katie Noble faced two batters in the bottom of the fifth before the second lightning delay was issued. The first Bison batter reached the base on an error, advancing to second and the second flied the ball out.
After the second delay was issued, it was determined that the game would be suspended until tomorrow. The Roos and Bison will resume their game tomorrow at 10:30 am in the bottom of the fifth. Kansas City trails 0-2 with a Bison player on second and one out.
