Starting Five
- Kansas City Men's Basketball enters Saturday's meeting at Lindenwood with a second opportunity to grab the 450th win in program history. Of victory milestones No. 1, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350 and 400, only one has come on the road: the 300th victory, coming as a 80-66 win at IPFW on Dec. 1, 2011.
- The Roos most recent battle came at No. 2 Kansas in Allen Fieldhouse with the Roos falling, 88-69. In nine meetings with the Jayhawks, it was the second-closest Kansas City had been in the final margin. The Roos had the game within eight points at the final media timeout before a late-game push by the Jayhawks.
- Cameron Faas was up for the task against Kansas, knocking down 5-of-7 threes and finishing with a season-high tying 18 points. He has now made at least two triples in each of the past six games, and his three-point percentage of 49.0% ranks first in the Summit League and eighth in all of Division One.
- Khristion Courseault made an emergence against the Jayhawks, scoring a season-high 18 points. It marked his second double-digit game in a Roo uniform, with the first coming against Brown on Nov. 25. He showed an ability to score in spurts, scoring six-straight points late in the first half before another six-point streak late in the second half. He also finished with a season-high four assists.
- Defense continues to be a point of emphasis for the Roos on the young season. Through nine games, Kansas City ranks top-four in the Summit in rebound margin (+5.2), rebounds (37.0), scoring defense (70.8), steals (6.2) and turnovers forced (14.33).
