COACH JESS SMITH, QUOTED
On the team's first half performance
"I'm very proud of the team and the way we came out. I think we frustrated Saint Louis and stuck to our game plan. We were proud of how we defended and how we countered on them."
On the second half miscues
"I told the team that the difference between a good team and a great team is that they capitalize on any inch that you give them, and Saint Louis is a great team. It's unfortunate that we give up an own goal, and it took the wind out of our sail … This was a great learning lesson for us against a quality opponent. We'll use it as we continue in our process of development."
UP NEXT
The Roos are on the road next week, traveling to San Marco, Texas for the first meeting in program history with Texas State.Â
