Women's Soccer Travels to Texas State

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Women's Soccer travels to Texas State for a meeting with the Bobcats on Thursday, kicking off at 7 p.m.
Kansas City Notes
- Thursday's game kicks off the first of three-straight road games for Kansas City. After facing the Bobcats, the Roos travel to Kansas and Missouri State next week.
- The Roos bring in six new faces to this year's squad, including four freshmen (Olivia Platt, Holland Hawkins, Bri Castleberry and Madelyn Muhr) and two transfers (Riley Moore and Ririka Kamimura).
- Kansas City has scored three total goals on the year, all by student-athletes that entered the season with zero career goals. Madison Page has scored two goals in her first four appearances as a Roo, while Lily Stedman scored her first career goal after attempting six shots as a freshman.
- KC took on No. 19 Saint Louis on Sunday, their first meeting with a ranked opponent since Sep. 16, 2018.
- Page has posted an excellent shots on goal percentage through the first four games of the year. Of her seven shot attempts, six have been placed on frame.
- In three starts in goal, Riley Moore has allowed 10 goals and made 13 saves on 48 shots faced. Mackenzie Caldwell earned the fourth start, allowing one goal and making eight saves.
- Kansas City is seeking its first multi-goal game of the season, and the first since a 2-1 win over St. Thomas on Oct. 24 of last season.
- This is the Roos' first time playing in the state of Texas since they were members of the WAC and traveled to UTRGV on Sep. 28, 2018.
Texas State Notes
- This will be the first time in program history that the Roos have taken on Texas State.
- The Bobcast are fresh off a 2-1 win over Houston Baptist and have won four-straight games, matching the best start in program history.
- Texas State has three players that have scored twice on the year: Madi Goss, Zoe Junior and Bailey Peschel.
- Five separate Bobcats have each logged one assist.
