WBB Wraps Up Regular Season in South Dakota

The Roos will take on South Dakota tomorrow at 7 p.m. and South Dakota State on Saturday at 2 p.m.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -Â Kansas City Women's Basketball brings a nine-game winning streak to South Dakota for the close of the regular season. Nine games is the second-longest of the year, following a ten-game win streak from Nov. 14-Dec. 14.

- With 22 wins on the season, the Roos have tied the 2011-12 team for the second-most wins in program history and are two wins behind the 1991-92 team for the most all-time.
- Only three other teams in the nation have had two separate win streaks of at least nine games this season, Liberty, South Carolina and NC State.
- The fourth quarter has been the Roos' friend this year, as they have won seven games after trailing at the end of the third quarter, including six games in conference play. The Roos are outscoring opponents by an average of 4.4 points in fourth quarters.Â
- When Brooklyn McDavid hits the 20-point mark, it's a good sign for the Roos. She has scored 20-plus eight times, translating to eight KC wins.
- Between McDavid, Paige Bradford and Dani Winslow, the Roos have major offensive rebounding ability. All three rank top-ten in the Summit with two-plus offensive boards per game, and the Roos lead the league with an average of 12.2 per game.
- The Roos have more success when they are selective with the triple. In 22 wins, KC averages 19.8 three-point attempts with 37.7% shooting. In five losses, the Roos average 22.8 attempts on 28.9% shooting.
- Currently averaging 5.3 assists per game, Naomie Alnatas is poised for the second-best single season average in program history. Ericka Mattingly averaged 6.0 per game in 2018-19.

- Kansas City fell to South Dakota by a final score of 57-67 in their first weekend of Summit play.
- Brooklyn McDavid posted her sixth double-double of the year, logging 16 points and 10 rebounds in a full 40-minute performance.
- Naomie Alnatas led the Roos with 19 points, four assists, four rebounds, and two steals.Â
