- After a 2-1 start on opening week, Kansas City closes out its four-game season-opening homestand with a matchup against Utah Tech before beginning a six-game road trip at Santa Clara on Tuesday.
- One of the highlights of opening week was Dani Winslow's 24-rebound performance against Tennessee State. The mark broke the program single-game record, surpassing Stephanie Worthy's 37-year-old record of 23. Winslow pulled down 12 rebounds in the first quarter and 16 in the first half, setting program records with each of those marks as well. After following it up with a 17-rebound performance against UTEP, Winslow ranks first in the nation with an average of 16.7 rebounds per game.
- Through three games, the Roos are averaging 8.7 blocks per game, the best mark in the Summit and second-best in the nation. Against UTEP, KC blocked away 13 shots, setting a program single-game record. Winslow went for five blocks in that game, the first five-block performance by a Roo since Ashli Hill had six against Missouri Western State on Nov. 9, 2012. Jocelyn Ewell also went for a career-high four blocks in the Roos' win over Tennessee State.
- Sanaa' St. Andre has stepped up in a big way in the first three games, averaging 20.7 points per game, which ranks second in the Summit League and 48th nation-wide. She set a career-high by scoring 22 points in KC's win over Tennessee State, following that up with a 26-point game against UTEP. With E'Lease Stafford and Rain Green on the bench for much of the first half with foul trouble against the Miners, St. Andre scored 22 of the Roos' 30 points.
- Four-straight games is the Roos' longest season-opening home stand since the 2012-13 squad. KC's upcoming six-game road trip marks the longest since the 2017-18 Roos opened the season with six-straight away from home. Only the 1998-99 Roos played more consecutive road games (7).
