Women's Basketball Continues Road Trip at ORU, Denver

The Roos will play the Golden Eagles tomorrow at 2 p.m. and Denver on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Women's Basketball will look to begin a new winning streak after their first Summit League win over Omaha, taking on Oral Roberts and Denver in the coming days.

- After opening 2022 with their first league win at Omaha, Kansas City remains on the road for a pair of Summit League contests with Oral Roberts and Denver.
- The tandem of Naomie Alnatas and Brooklyn McDavid are both top-five in the Summit League in points per game and are the highest-scoring duo in the conference, combining for 36.1 points per game. They have each surpassed the 20-point mark five times. When both score at least 17, the Roos hold a 4-0 mark.
- A tell-tale sign for Kansas City is the turnover battle. When the Roos commit fewer turnovers than their opponents, they are 6-0, compared to a 5-2 record when giving the ball away more. The team's turnover margin on the season is an average of -0.21.
- Sanaa' St. Andre dropped a season-high nine points off the bench in the Roos' win over Omaha, her highest scoring performance since posting 10 points against Kansas State on Dec. 14, 2020. She went 4-of-5 from the field, the most efficient shooting game of her career.
- After beginning the season by shooting above 30% from three-point range in each of their first ten games, the Roos have shot below 27% in each of the last four. In Jacie Hoyt's five-year tenure, the Roos have never shot below 30% from long range in five-straight games.
- Paige Bradford dishes out 2.9 assists per game, an increase of 1.1 over last season. She has dished out three-plus assists in nine games, including a career-high seven against Baker on Dec. 8.
Last Time vs. Oral Roberts
- Both games in 2021 went into overtime ending in a series split. KC took the first game in Tulsa (101-93 OT) and ORU won the second game of the series (67-71 OT).
- In the first game of the series, Naomie Alnatas ignited for a career-high and record breaking 45-point performance.
- The Roos completed an impressive comeback after being down 13 points in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime, where Paige Bradford scored six of her 14 total points to complete the comeback.
- Jonaie Johnson and Bradford both had double-doubles in the overtime victory.

- Denver allows the most points-per-game in the league, allowing 74.2 points to their opponents
- The Pioneers lead the league in blocks, averaging six per game.
- Uju Ezeudu is tied with KC's Brooklyn McDavid for fourth most points per-game, knocking down 17.2 per game on the season. Ezeudu also controls the boards with 8.6 rebounds per game, good for second best in the league.
- Anna Jackson will try to match the Roos' three-point field goal production. Jackson leads the league, averaging 2.9 threes per-game, edging out Mandy Willems who averages 2.4 per game.
