?Roos, Redhawks Finish Knotted at 1-1

(Seattle, Wash.) – The UMKC women's soccer team played to a hard-fought 1-1 draw at WAC-rival Seattle on Friday night.
The 'Roos (10-3-3, 6-0-1) withstood a 23-9 shot discrepancy to earn the tie with Seattle, courtesy of sophomore Emily Herndon's goal in the 62nd minute of action. Herndon's goal came just over one minute after the Redhawks deposited the first goal of the game to pull ahead 1-0.
Goalkeeper Nina Tzianois made seven saves to keep the score tied and prologue the 'Roos' unbeaten streak.
UMKC will head to Utah Valley to face the third-place Wolverines on Sunday. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m. (CST).
