UMKC Falls In Three To Golden Grizzlies

(Kansas City, Mo. ) -- The UMKC volleyball team (6-12, 0-8) lost to Oakland (9-7, 4-3), 3-0, on Friday night in Rochester, Mich.
In the match, senior Elizabeth Beck led the 'Roos with eight kills.
In the first set, the 'Roos were tied at 11-11, but Oakland stretched the lead to 20-15 before taking the set, 25-18.
In set two, the 'Roos hung close early, trailing just 3-2, but the Golden Grizzlies downed UMKC 25-12 heading into the break.
Coming out of intermission, Oakland built an 18-8 lead before taking the match with a 25-19 third set victory.
UMKC will be back in action again tomorrow night when they face IPFW at 6 p.m.
