2008 -- Missed just three games for the Kangaroos on the season, playing with a torn ligament in her right elbow... finished the year with a .242 batting average and fielding percentage of .990, both career bests... fielding percentage was best on the team, as she was charged with just three errors in 299 chances... collected five RBI and three doubles, walking a team-high 13 times on the year... also had one of two sacrifice flies for the Kangaroos - at Southern Utah (3/21)... named to The Summit League Winter/Spring Academic all-League team.
2007 -- Saw action in 45 games for UMKC, finishing with a .189 batting average... was one of six Kangaroos to hit a home run as the team established a new single-season record with 20... laid down a team-high 11 sacrifice hits, tied with Alicia Baker... fielding percentage of .970 was second highest on team (minimum 25 chances)... was caught stealing in just one of her four attempts.
2006 -- Started and played in 53 games for the Kangaroos in 2006, finishing with a .162 batting average... scored seven runs and tallied 6 RBI in 2006... led the team with 106 assists on the season.
2005 -- Was named the team's Defensive Player of the Year.
High School -- First-team all-region third baseman from 2002-04.. second team all-region third baseman as 2001... was the team's Rookie of the Year as a freshman in 2000... hit .389 her senior season... named team's best defensive player in 2003... was a four-year letterwinner in softball and volleyball... also was a one-year letterwinner in basketball... high school coach was Larry Stephenson.
Personal -- Born on April 6, 1986... daughter of Alma and Marcial Canisales... a psychology major at UMKC.
