Roo Item -- Played high school softball with Kangaroo teammate Carli Slagle.
2008 -- Started all 39 games for the Kangaroos at both third base and left field, with her batting average of .252 good for third on the team... hit three home runs as a freshman, including a solo shot against Arizona State (2/16) in just her seventh collegiate at-bat... hit her first career grand slam against IUPUI (4/19), with the shot helping to garner her The Summit League Player of the Week honors, the first for a UMKC freshman... had a stretch of seven games - 3/30 vs. NDSU to 4/19 vs. IUPUI - that saw her reach base safely, the longest streak on the team... collected four doubles as well, finishing the year with a .942 fielding percentage... named to The Summit League Winter/Spring Academic all-League team.
High School -- Earned all-conference honors all four years for the Tigers, picking up second team accolades as a freshman and first team accolades as a sophomore, junior and senior... three-time first team all-district selection... named the team Most Valuable Player as a senior... in addition to softball, she lettered two years in track and four years in basketball and was selected as the McDowell Award recipient, given annually to the outstanding senior female athlete at Macon R-1 High School... high school coach was Jennifer Rickeberg
