Why Kansas City: "I chose Kansas City because it felt right. I really enjoyed Kansas City, I love the campus and the coaching staff made me feel very confident and comfortable."
Coach Smith on Maddox: "Sydney is a gritty and skilled player who will impact us at outside back with her pace and ability to attack. She fits really well into our style of play and will help us build from the back with consistent passing. Higher up the field, we expect her to be dangerous as she can serve early crosses and will also look to combine. Sydney is a great one-on-one defender and will strengthen our backline with her mentality to be physical and her decision-making on tackling."
