2014 -- Second-team All-WAC selection... Sat out the first 10 games due to NCAA regulations, but played and started the final 10 games of the year, helping the team to a 6-3-1 record during that span... Scored three goals and logged two assists, mostly out of the defender position... Scored in three straight games, with two being game-winners, against Utah Valley (10/26, game-winner, first career goal), Air Force (11/1), and Houston Baptist (11/7, game-winner)... Against HBU he also had an assist... His other assist came in a win against Seattle (10/24)... Only attempted seven shots, scoring on three of them... Played every minute of his first nine appearances.
Offseason Note -- Was granted an extra two seasons of eligibility by the NCAA after an appeal... Made him a junior eligibility-wise in 2014.
2013 -- Voted as team MVP for the second straight season... Was also named second-team all-conference by College Sports Madness... Played and started 18 games at central defense and central midfield during the season... He was named to the SMU All-Tournament team, helping the 'Roos to the tournament title with a win against the host and a tie against No. 13 Tulsa... Missed one game due to a red card... Tallied assists against Omaha in a 1-1 tie (9/24) and against Air Force in a 2-1 win (10/18)... Matched a career-best with four shots against Air Force as well.
2012 -- Voted as the 'Roos MVP by teammates... Started and played 16 games, sitting out once due to accumulated yellow cards... Played in the central defense, helping the 'Roos record two shutouts, against both Florida Atlantic (9/14) and Eastern Illinois (9/30)... Took a season-high four shots against Western Illinois (11/9) in the Summit League Tournament... Named to the Fall Academic Honor Roll for his work in the classroom.
2011 - Redshirt season.
High School -- Four-time team captain... team finished first at the state and conference level in 2007 and 2008, was the runner-up in 2006... tallied 10 goals as a senior and junior... finished second in class after the 2007 academic year.
Club -- Played with Biuelino's Club in 2007 and 2008... team was Amateur champions during the indoor season... served as captain.
Personal -- Born Oct. 5, 1990... parents are Julia Dolores Araujo Solis and Felix Pino... has three siblings, Salvador Pino, Maricruz Munoz and Gabriela Araujo... majoring in civil engineering.
