2014 -- Saw action in 14 contests, starting the final nine of the season in the midfield... He logged his lone assist in an upset win over UNLV (10/19)... Played the full 90 minutes on two occasions, both wins against UNLV (10/19) and vs. San Jose State in the WAC Tournament quarterfinal.
Before UMKC -- Came to UMKC after two seasons at Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan, where he played in 34 matches, starting 26 in the midfield and outside back… While there, he scored three goals and logged four assists… In high school at Cardinal Newman Catholic, he was a four-year team captain and led the team to four consecutive conference and district championships… He played USL Development League soccer for both Hamilton FC and the Toronto Lynx... With Toronto he helped the squad to USL Super 20 Finals (North American Championship), earning All-Tournament honors.
Personal -- Born September 27, 1993... Son of Joseph and Lidia Barsalona... Has two older siblings, Danya and Andrew... Both of his siblings played Division I soccer at UAB, and now play professionally in Europe... Danya has played in both Spain and Italy, while Andrew is in Germany... Majoring in communications.
