2014 -- Saw action in four games in a reserve role at defender, playing a season-high 14 minutes at Creighton... Also saw action against Air Force (10/4), San Jose State (10/12), and UNLV (11/14)
2013 -- Redshirt season.
High School -- An all-state and all-league defender as a senior, he started four seasons at Olathe South High School for head coach Will Stoskopf… He helped the squad to three conference titles, a state runner-up finish, and two state quarterfinal appearances… He was a rated as a three-star recruit by TopDrawerSoccer.com… Vassar earned All-Sunflower League honors as a junior as well, helping the team to a state runner-up finish… He was a member of the Sporting KC Juniors club team, playing for coach Gareth Hughes… Prior to that, he played for KCFC United for five years, winning two state titles and finishing as state runner-up three times… He was also on the Principal’s Honor Roll all four years in high school.
Personal -- Born August 30, 1994... Son of John and Pam Vassar... Has one older sister, Kourtney... Undecided on a major... His father played football at Truman State... His sister played soccer at Indiana State.
