Relaying Roos Set Several Program Records in Fayetteville

Men's Track recorded program bests in the 4x100, 4x400 meter relays

FAYETTVILLE, Ark. -- Kansas City Track & Field came through with one of the best outings of the 2026 outdoor campaign, setting numerous program records on the men's side. Most notably, the relays were where the Roos shined, as the 4x100-meter relay saw Kansas City take the tape in 39.59 seconds, the fastest in school history. KC's previous record in this event was set at last year's Arkansas Twilight meet, with a time of 39.89 seconds.

The Roos weren't content with just one relay record as the squad's 'A Team' boasted a time of 3:07.92, shattering the school record by over four seconds. Within the race, Logan Pratt led off running an opening split of 47.9 seconds. Following Pratt was Adnan Jimoh who showed a time of 46.3 seconds. 200-meter specialist Amari Eugene took the third leg with a time of 47.5 seconds and All-American Tory Lanham closed out the Roos record-breaking race with a split of 45.4 seconds on the back leg.

Elsewhere, Stephen Clunis has the program record in the 100-meter dash after he took the tape in 10.43 seconds. Clunis' best time in the event is 10.32 but his latest time in the official program record due to wind resistance taking the other times out of contention. Brenden Badie set a personal best time of 52.70 in the 400-meter hurdles, the fifth fastest time in the event in KC school history. On the women's side, Mariah Belmont set a new personal best in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:28.40, still ranking second in the event in the school history and second in the Summit League.
